Anyák napja a világ körül // Mother's Day around the world

Lehet, hogy butus vagyok, de én eddig teljesen abban a hitben éltem, hogy az anyák napja egy olyan nemzetközi dolog, ami bizony minden egyes országban ugyan azon a napon van. Hát nem. Én vagyok az egyetlen, aki erről eddig nem tudott?:D

Maybe I'm a bit silly, but I always thought, that mother's day is something international, and it's on the same day in every country. Well, it's not. I'm the only one, who didn't know that? :D

Erre a számomra eddig teljesen ismeretlen tényre akkor döbbentem rá, amikor éppen egy brit blogot olvastam, ahol megakadt a szemem az egyik poszton, jobban mondva a dátumon. Ugyanis anyák napjára ajánlott a blogger ajándékötleteket, igen ám, de március 4-én. Utána olvastam egy picit, és kiderült, hogy náluk a jeles nap a nagyböjt negyedik vasárnapjára esik. Ezen felbuzdulva kapásból megkérdeztem egy holland ismerősömet, hogy náluk mikor van anyák napja, mire jött a válasz, hogy náluk május második vasárnapján. Nekem ez teljesen megdöbbentő, bár nem tudnám megmondani miért...:D Később utánajártam, és kiderül, hogy Kanadában szintén jövőhát vasárnap ünneplik az anyukákat, ugyanúgy ahogy Amerikában is. Természetesen, ha már Németországban állomásozok, ezt a helyet sem hagyhatom ki a kis listámból, itt is csak jövőhét vasárnapján lesz a ünnep.:)

I realized this totally unknown fact (at least to me), when I was reading a British blog, and the date of a post caught my eye. The blogger was recommending some gift ideas for Mother's Day on the 4th of March, and I was like what??Because in my little country Hungary, we celebrate Mother's day on the 1st sunday of May. Then I did a little research and found out, that they have Mother's day on the 4th sunday of Lent. Encouraged by this realisation, I asked one of my Dutch friends, when they celebrate this honored day, and his answer was, on the 2nd sunday of May. It's quite shocking to me, although I don't know why ...: D Later, I did a little more research, and it turned out, that Canada also celebrates it next Sunday as well as the USA. Now, that I live in Germany, of course I can't leave it out of my little list. And surprise surprise, they will also celebrate it next Sunday ( so on the 2nd sunday of May).
